Canadiens Development Camp Details
The Montreal Canadiens have announced that their development camp will be held at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard from June 30 to July 2. This event will feature a total of 37 players, comprising 19 forwards, 12 defencemen, and six goaltenders. All on-ice sessions, including practices and scrimmages, are open to the public, providing an opportunity for fans to observe the team’s prospects.
The camp schedule includes medical and physical testing for players on Tuesday. On-ice activities will commence on Wednesday and continue through Thursday. The first on-ice practice session on Wednesday is scheduled for goaltenders at 9:15 a.m., followed by skaters at 10:15 a.m., utilizing both ice surfaces at the complex. On Thursday, goaltenders will be on the ice at 10 a.m., with a scrimmage planned for 11 a.m. In addition to the on-ice training, participants will engage in various seminars and team activities.
Key Prospects Attending
Among the attendees will be all eight players selected by the Canadiens during the 2026 NHL Draft, which took place on June 26-27 in Buffalo. This group includes Gleb Pugachyov, a Russian forward who was a first-round selection. Another notable participant is fellow Russian forward Alexander Zharovsky, who was a second-round pick in the 2025 draft. Centre Michael Hage, a first-round selection from the 2024 draft, is also expected to attend.
The camp roster also features Bryce Pickford, a defenceman selected in the third round of the 2025 draft. Pickford was recognized as the top defenceman in the CHL this season. The overall list of players invited to the camp includes 25 prospects drafted by the Canadiens, two players acquired through free agency, and 10 players attending on a try-out basis.
The goaltender group includes Alexis Cournoyer, Emmett Croteau, Max Lacroix (on a tryout), Quentin Miller, Arseni Radkox, and Mikus Vecvanags. The 12 defencemen participating are Rasmus Bergqvist, Cooper Cleaves, Jean-Samuel Daigneault, Aiden Dubinsky, Carlos Handel, Brayden Klimpke, Andrew MacNiel, Bryce Pickford, Owen Protz, Timofei Runtso, Nolan Stevenson (on a tryout), and Maxon Vig.
The substantial contingent of 19 forwards includes Dillan Bentley, TylerDeakos, Donovan Frias (on a tryout), Remi Gelinas (on a tryout), Michael Hage, Aleksandr Legkov (on a tryout), Giacomo Martino (on a tryout), Ben Merrill, L.J. Mooney, Reid Morich (on a tryout), Nikita Ovcharov (on a tryout), Hayden Paupanekis, Gleb Pugachyov, Thomas Rousseau (on a tryout), Wesley Royston, Logan Sawyer, Parker Trottier, Braidy Wassilyn (on a tryout), and Alexander Zharovsky. Fans are encouraged to observe first-time attendees such as Paupanekis, Zharovsky, and Pugachyov, as well as returning players like Mooney and Owen Protz.
Coaching Staff and Public Access
The organization has invited nine coaches to oversee the camp. This coaching staff includes Kori Cheverie, Caroline Ouellette, Noemie Marin, and Alex-Andre Perron from the Montreal Victoire. Former Canadiens player Mike Condon, now a performance consultant, will also be present. Other coaches include Olivia Cook, Bruno Pierre Guillemette (goalie coach from the Montreal Victoire), Yanick Jean, and Olivier Latendresse. The public is welcome to attend all on-ice sessions at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard from June 30 to July 2.
