Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver, recently released a workout video detailing his recovery process, stating that he still lacks power in his left leg following two surgeries. The video, posted on Wednesday, shows Hill engaged in rehabilitation exercises approximately 10 months after undergoing the procedures.
Hill sustained a significant injury during a game against the Jets on September 29, which involved a dislocated knee and multiple torn ligaments, including his ACL. He required overnight hospitalization and underwent surgery the following day. This injury prematurely concluded his 2025 season.
Recovery and Rehabilitation Efforts
In the video, which is 1 minute, 38 seconds long and titled “Cheetah, Reborn” on social media, Hill is seen running and jumping on various surfaces, including turf, a basketball court, and in a pool. He indicated that these activities appear to be taking place at his Florida home.
Hill explained his current physical state in the video, stating, “My left leg is the one that I injured. I have no power in my left leg, so I’m trying to regain all the power back in my left leg. But it’s one day at a time.”
Despite the challenges, Hill expressed optimism about his recovery timeline. “I ain’t going to tell you what my timeline is, but timeline looking real good right now, man,” he commented in the social media post. In a separate five-minute video on his YouTube channel, he further detailed his rehabilitation, emphasizing the goal of building back strength.
Hill also shared that medical professionals initially doubted his ability to walk again. “You know, they told me I might not be able to walk again, and the doctor is like, ‘Bro, we don’t know what’s going to happen with your future,’ and now look at me. God is good,” Hill said, adding, “I feel good.”
Future Outlook and Free Agency
The Miami Dolphins released Hill on February 16, making him a free agent. This move followed his injury during the team’s Week 4 Monday Night Football game against the New York Jets, where he was tackled near the sideline, resulting in his left knee appearing to be misaligned. He received immediate medical attention and was carted off the field.
The surgery to repair his dislocated knee and torn ligaments marked the start of what was anticipated to be a lengthy recovery. His release by the Dolphins, described as a rebuilding team, created $22.8 million in cap space.
Hill, a five-time All-Pro first teamer, remains unsigned but is hopeful of finding a new team as he continues his rehabilitation. He is focused on regaining his physical capabilities, stating during running drills, “Just trying to get my explosion and my breath back. So, whenever I step back on the field, it’s like none of it’s missing.”
While he has not provided a specific timeline for his return to the NFL, Hill conveyed confidence in his progress. He mentioned, “Give me another month and a half. I’m going go into the track and sprint like that,” indicating his expectation to run more vigorously soon.
He reiterated his positive outlook on his current condition, stating, “Feel good.”

Hill’s recovery journey continues with a focus on regaining strength in his injured leg.
